3D Illustration Class

I had to take some original characters, finalize their design, and now we are supposed to make them 3D using Maya.  These are my 2D final designs!  The blue guy is Monty, the dog is Sputnik.  My first version of Monty was too "slick" looking, according to my teacher, so I changed it.

Champion Village

These are my final images for Championvillage.com. These are all vector format...something entirely new to me....but I think I feel comfortable using Adobe Illustrator now. This all took a lot of work....even if it doesn't look like it, haha!

Peter Pan

These were for my Narrative Illustration class. We had to do a book dummy and basically design some pages of the book Peter Pan. Some of these compositions I really like. I might color some/finish some of them out.

Intro to Oil Painting Class

Head Painting Class

Very good class taught by Robert T. Barrett. My second class dealing with oil painting. We did a new painting each day. Each of these is a three hour painting.

Champion Village

This is my black and white comp. I just got the green light to go ahead and color/finalize! Hooray!

I am designing the characters and background for an upcoming company/website. Check it out!

Editorial Illustration Class

"Scaredy Hare" Acrylic
Just had to paint a woodland creature. The teachers (there were two) wanted us to just experiment with the paint first.

"Give Us What We Need" Mixed Media
This was for an article about how backwards it is to emphasize access to technology in parts of the world where they don't even have clean drinking water.

"Endurance" Acrylic
We had to pick a word (i.e. divinity, beauty, love, endurance) and an object (i.e. a tree, ladder, skeleton, etc.) and put them together! This was TREE and ENDURANCE. It was to teach us how to use cliches in a fresh way.

"Pigs in Wigs" Pen and Ink
This is a collaborative effort between me and Mckinsey Lewis. She is in my class, and she and I love our pen and ink. This assignment was to do a black and white caricature. Can you name the three monarch pigs?

"Fortune cookie: You are often unaware of the effect you have on others" Ink and Wash
We had to pick a fortune cookie and use the fortune inside. (I snuck two so I could at least have a choice...ha!)
